Satyaranjan Das
Satyaranjan Das is a contemporary Indian visual artist born in 1993 in Odisha. currently based in New Delhi. He studied MFA from the College of Art, New Delhi, and BVA from the B.K. College of Art & Craft, Odisha, his work explores themes of migration, urbanization, and ecological change. Influenced by Indian miniature painting and Odisha’s Patachitra, he uses mediums like watercolor, ink, and natural papers. His personal history and urban experiences shape his narrative-driven composition.
Das has been recognized with several accolades, including a two-year MFA scholarship from IPCA, Bhubaneswar, and awards from the National Dhauli Art Festival, Color Wave 2014, Kalasakshi 2019, and the 38th Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi Award in 2020 . Notable works include “Born for Burn II” (2024) and “Time to Return” (2022), showcased at Dhoomimal gallery.
